Checking for new forecast…Short-term: A weak low pressure system will bring scattered, mostly light rain showers back into the area tonight and through the day Friday, with a few isolated thunderstorms and very small hail possible due to the cool air aloft 🌧️. Temperatures Friday will stay cool, mainly in the 50s to near 60. Cooler air Friday night may allow some frost to form, especially in western and central Ohio and eastern Indiana, but this is not a guaranteed frost setup.
Long-term: An unusually deep trough will keep the region in a cooler-than-normal pattern through the weekend and much of next week, with only brief warm-ups before cooler air returns. Frost is again possible Saturday night into early Sunday, with a somewhat better setup for areas of frost than Friday night, which may affect sensitive plants ❄️. Early next week, several disturbances and a front will bring multiple chances for light, episodic showers from Monday through Wednesday.
